Thursday Update – Costco West Sale Items for June 17-23, 2019 for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan

Hi Everyone,

Since I go to Costco twice a week anyways, I thought why don’t I just take pictures on Thursday as well.  I always notice a couple of items that I miss, especially when I go to a different store.  Sometimes, the price tag is not updated.  Sometimes, the store may be sold out or have a different stock level and sometimes, the store is clearing out different items.

For this post, I have decided just to take pictures of the items that I did not take on Monday.  These would be any item with an instant rebate or a manager’s clearance item that is indicated by a price that ends in .97.

This week it looks like a lot of items in the non-food section (household goods) have a * on the top right had of the price tag which indicates that the product will not be reordered.  I decided to include these.  If you are in the market for one of these products, make sure you go into the store soon as they will not have any more once the store runs out of stock.  If you can wait, and the store is not selling out of this item, you can always check to see if the item will eventually drop to a clearance price.

I did miss a couple of big items this week that I didn’t see on Monday: The chocolate truffle cake is on sale for $10 off – can you survive without 2.3 Kg of cake for only $20.  The Pool Petz Pool toys look fun for the kids, Castelvetrano canned olives, and Terrace Collection large outdoor rugs (2.36m x 3.12m) are on sale until June 23, 2019.

I went to Langey this morning to check out the new Self Serve Checkouts and Self Serve Food court machines I was told about earlier.  Here is a picture!

Happy Shopping!

  1. Which Costco did you see the metal rotating sunflower at? I bought one in Bellingham for $36.99USD which is close to $50 CDN! I want to return it and buy one here! lol

    • These pictures were taken in Langley. Did you know that you can return items you bought in the US (or any country for that matter) to any Canadian Costco. They do the exchange rate for you! It might save you the drive.

I once returned clothes I bought in a UK Costco to my local Costco in Canada 🙂

  2. I’ve noticed a few times that the prices you post are different than at my Costco in Calgary, obviously different from province to province

  3. I signed up for Rogers infinity unlimited data, did not notice any difference once I went over my 10 GB limit, works great for me, I think it is awesome. From an actual user

  4. I like your posts as they come out usually when I am ready to go to Costco and I often buy from the extras you put on the list. If it is something I may use or want I seek it out because you jogged my memory that I can get it at Costco

  5. Can’t wait for the self checkout in Alberta and also for the food court machines. I find the food court line up is disorganized and people milling about like cattle, I get so frustrated that if there is much of a line I skip it and go elsewhere.

  6. Fantastic! Just wondering for your usual weekly posts, which Costco you go to in the Lower Mainland? Sometimes, I look for items at both Costco’s in Burnaby and come empty handed. Thanks!

  7. Thank you so much for all you do! I love your posts and look forward to seeing the great deals each week. (Fan from Manitoba )

  8. The self serve checkouts are excellent. Rarely a line up, and when they do, no more than 30 seconds.
I do go to Costco more because of them.

    • They increase the amount you can tap to pay with your capital one MasterCard to $400. The tap sure makes things easier to pay – but don’t lose your card in the store!

  9. Thanks, I really appreciate this info. It is so nice to receive the American Costco info as well as I live close to the border and they carry different stuff than ours.

    • I love shopping at the US Costco’s. They have a lot more products than we do here. I love getting the Mexican Cokes made with real can sugar in glass bittles. Also their cinnamon rolls -and fresh poke are delish 🙂

  10. Do you now when the cottage cheese will be back on shelves? It’s been a few weeks since Costco stopped selling it. Thank you

    • I just bought cottage cheese at my local Costco this week so perhaps this is specific to your Costco.. Weird as I have never not seeing it available in ours.

  11. The last time I was at the Surrey Costco (3 weeks ago), they had the * next to the price. So they might not be getting them back for a while.

  12. Thank you so much for giving us the specials and sales at Costco every week. Depending on what’s on special, I decide if I make the trip before or after the weekend. I really appreciate the effort you put into getting this data for us. It’s very helpful.

  13. Thanks, we always say our brother would ask if there was a Costco in heaven before going, haha, I smile thinking you & him would be in charge of it.

  14. I don’t understand why you put a phones at the end. Costco made my plan $15 more a month to get a $200 gift card. I feel used and taken advantage of. Remeber that it’s not Costco selling phones. It’s Rogers and Bell so Thad should say it all.

    • Hi Jason, I took pictures of the phone stands because I saw that they were offering the $75 “unlimited” data plans. These plans are a pretty good deal for those of us who use lots of data.

      • The catch with the “unlimited” is after 10 GB, you’re throttled from 150/200 Mbps all the way down to 0.25 Mbps. It’s effectively unusable. They call it 3G, but it’s actually half of 2G speed.

If you use a lot of data, you’re better off going with the Telus 15 GB plan for $75. After 15 GB, you’ll pay for overages, but you’ll never reach 15 GB with Rogers/Bell’s “unlimited” plan.
