Thursday Update – Costco Sale Items for Feb 6-9, 2020 for BC, AB, MB, SK

Hi Everyone!
Today at Costco, there were quite a few furniture items on sale! If you already purchased one of these items, take your receipt into Costco and they will price match and give you a refund! If you purchased the sectional, this could mean that you could get back $300.00 plus tax! Not a bad deal if you ask me.
The Whalen Dining Room set is $150.00 off and there are a few other furniture items on sale too!
I noticed for the first time that they were selling Weighted Blankets for Kids. Anyone have any reviews on this? If I were to get this for my daughter I’d have to get rid of some of the 5 blankets that she already has on her bed. I also picked up a box of Mangoes for $1.00 off. If you haven’t tried the Black Sable Grapes currently at Costco, you should give them a try. 🙂

Hello!! Thanks for the update im wondering For the kids weighted blankets at the Langley location was there the grey stripe design or just the unicorn design?
I saw lots of grey stripe designs when I was in store
I like the thomasville accent chairs, any idea of their quality/how sturdy they are?
The Whalen dining set looks nice too, but it has mixed reviews. Would you recommend it?

Those Kinder eggs, did you notice if they’re star wars only? We’ve been using the frozen ones for potty training and the closest Costco to us is an hour away.

Thank you! My son was just asking about going as a family to the swimming pool. Happy to see bathing suits on sale for this momma! Affordable and stylish. looks like a trip to Costco is happening. Yikes. It’s always so busy on weeeknds. Anyone have a best time to go in Langley suggestion, I normally go Tuesday about an hour and a half hours after opening and it’s manageable as the opening shoppers are leaving.
Hi Aidan, Try going to the store 5 minutes before closing. There are usually lots of parking spots and it is perfect for those just picking up one or two items.
is there any face masks available in Costco?
I asked last week at Abbotsford and they did not have any available.

Weighted blankets are a very trendy item right now. Unfortunately, unless your child has certain types of autism, they have not been proven to actually help with sleep in the research data I have read.
My advice is to do a lot of reading before you purchase one. Not necessarily just the information from the sellers of these blankets… “Caveat emptor”
I highly recommend a weighted blanket. I’ve heard nothing but good reviews about them within the special needs community I’m in. The blanket should be 10% of your child’s body weight. Also great for adults.
Went to ABBOTSFORD store yesterday and the portable bbq was regular price… I even got it scanned just in case. They said they’re sales end on Sundays. Any ideas why?

That is an excellent price for a 5lb weighted blanket. These blankets are typically used for sensory processing disorders or sensory challenges. They are suppose to also reduce anxiety. I would strongly recommend people do research as to what weight they should have for their child. It depends on the weight of the child. A blanket like this can cause unforeseen safety and/or health issues if not used responsibly.
Do you recall the price of the kids weighted blanket? I have been waiting for them since I saw them in the Connections magazine.
